The world has ended! Well the world as we know it and Danby (the central character in the trilogy) is fighting to save what little humanity is left. However nothing is really as it seems and can she trust those in whom, up until now, she has believed? This is a story of action – blood, killings, fire and revenge and for readers who have enjoyed the first two books in the trilogy this will be a satisfying and ‘complete’ ending – there can be no more. Although it could be read as a stand-alone I would advice reading the first two books before opening this one  - The Last Girl and The Last Shot.

In a recent interview Michael Adams, when asked the rather tired question if you could only read one book for the rest of your life what would it be?
answered I’m going to say the dictionary. From it, everything else.
